Yes!!! On Prop 2

As an animal rights advocate I wanted to blog about Prop 2 in California. This proposition will make it illegal for factory farms to have three cruel types of crates. This will make animals at least be able to move. Along with that it will also prevent disease outbreaks because cages will be cleaner, reducing bacteria. There is an opposition to this proposition. This prop will make factory farms have to buy new cages for their animals. Given how tough the times are we need to make sure we don't cause bankruptcy. That is why we give factory farms until 2015 to raise funds for the new cages. An even more important thing is family farms don't even use the cages that could be banned now. Family farmers will not be affected by this at all, however Corporate America will have to be ethical. Please click on the icon below to show your love and support for animals.

Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles

This show to be honest is both good and bad. It is good because they have good actors, have good plot, and it is very dramatic. It is bad because one of the women on there has powers that are to weird. Like she transformed into a urinal in one episode and transformed back into herself just before a guy was going to urinate into her. That was a little bit to much for me. Just a little to odd. Anyway I actually do recommend the show because as unrealistic as it is, they do it well. It has great actors I can't say that enough. I recommend this to all Sci-Fi fans and people who are somewhat interested in getting into Sci-Fi. The thing is it is very complicated so you will need someone there with you who has seen all the episodes. A Ha la.

Video Games on the Brain

The frontal lobe of the brain is the part of the brain involved in complex problem solving, or in other words the higher functioning part of the brain. This part of the brain is partially involved with emotions, but that is mainly the Limbic System(part of brain that controls emotions) and more specifically in the Amygdala. The reason I am posting about this is video games and television apparently put the frontal lobe into unconsciousness temporarily. This suggests that people who play video games will end up having more difficulty with problem solving.
Another issue is the fact that video games stimulate the Amygdala(used in recognition of fear and emotion but specifically fear). For people with mood disorders, high emotion functioning, anxiety disorders, etc. will get have difficulty after the game. This is because it continues to stimulate an already abnormally active part of the brain. This may make you feel good at the time but make emotions in other situations more severe. Think about something bad happening that is very small, with someone who plays video games and has an abnormal Limbic System. This could lead to an extremely abnormal reaction.
That is why video game playing needs to be monitored and why and how video games can effect abnormal brain structures. What do you think synapse for this essay?
